Taining World Geological Park is located in the northwest Fujian Province. Its subtropical moist monsoon climate makes it a place of lakes and large forests. Professors from Zhongshan University confirmed the Taining landform as typical Danxia Landform. They believe geological movements millions of years ago formed the Danxia Landform as we see it today. Boating on the reservoir provides a superb view, but the deep valleys around the lake are even amazing. Valleys in Taining are straight or inclined, broad or narrow.
